What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator position at CST?
CST Pavers, a part of Quikrete Companies, a manufacturer of landscaping pavers for residential and retail customers has immediate openings for Night Shift Machine Operators for our Pedricktown, NJ facility.
Shifts available:
2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
10:00 PM to 6:30 AM
5:00 PM to 3:00 AM
The Machine Operator is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of a sophisticated, computerized, manufacturing machine and reports to the Plant Manager. The Machine Operator will:
- Assure that equipment and tools are used according to the manufacturer's specifications
- Take a variety of measurements throughout the shift to monitor the process and ensure quality.
- Perform machine setup and maintenance as needed according to machine specifications.
- Clean the machines as needed throughout the shift.
- Operate a forklift as needed.
Job Requirements
A minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience.
- Show strong mechanical aptitude and trouble shooting skills
- Have knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, power, transmission, pneumatic, and control systems
- Must be able to operate and work around industrial machinery
- Must be able to wear safety glasses, hearing protection, and all other PPE as required
- Must be able to work independently and with others with limited supervision
- Must be able to take direction in a manufacturing environment with ever changing demands
