What You’ll Do:

As the Sales Development Representative – US, you will research, plan, manage and execute increased sales through the U.S. region to meet our exceed business goals.

 

Your Accountabilities in the Role:
  • You will research, design, plan, manage, and execute sales plans to identify and add customers, while also increasing sales within the region.
  • You will primarily be responsible for prospecting, adding leads and nurturing quality leads through the sales funnel.
  • You will schedule initial meetings to provide targeted presentations and information with a Technical Salesperson to understand needs and provide solutions.
  • You will participate in consultative selling by developing an understanding of prospective customers’ needs and providing relevant solutions.
  • You will partner with the Marketing Manager to create effective Marketing and Sales initiatives that will discern our products in the marketplace, strengthen our brand, and ultimately increase sales.
  • You will research the market, identify trade shows to reach prospects, and implement a marketing plan to attract and onboard new clients.
  • You will attend industry events to network with others and to initiate new opportunities.
  • You will utilize the CRM system to enter/analyze data and create a priority plan that will enhance the sales funnel.
  • You will be required to do comprehensive market and competitor research and document comprehensively, using the intelligence gained in order toto collaborate with marketing to improve the effectiveness of our sales and marketing strategy.
  • You will be responsible for collaboration with our sister companies within the CTB group in order toto design and implement joint sales strategies.

 

 

Position Requirements:

 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial, Marketing, or other similar field preferred; would consider a combination of coursework and experience
  • Experience:
    • 5 years of Sales experience in the protein processing, food processing, or supply chain industries preferred with a solid software/technical system aptitude; will consider similar industries for the right person
    • Experience in B2B sales and Consultative Selling preferred
    • Experience in Software Technical Sales preferred
  • Functional Skills: Excellent B2B Consultative Sales expertise with strong planning, organizing, prioritization, and execution skills. Also, requires creative thinker with excellent problem-solving skills to create solutions. 
    • Foundational marketing skills would also be helpful in this role. 
    • Ability to understand and provide budgeting and forecasting plans is preferred.
  • Technology Skills: Proficient PC skills, MS Office and CRM systems experience needed.
  • Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication; strong presentation skills with an ability to effectively present to C-Suite.
  • Leadership/Behaviors: Self-motivated, self-starters who have a background of managing their work/results on their own; requires excellent collaboration and networking skills.
  • Culture Match: The right person will be agile, flexible, and have a natural ability to adapt to change and be motivated to grow in their careers the company grows.
  • Ability to be a productive team player is very important.

 

Other Important Information:

 

Salary: Salary is commensurate with proven expertise.

 

This position is eligible for commission. The compensation will grow as the team member grows.

 

Reports To:    Sr. Sales Manager

 

Typical Work Week: M-FM-F; some weekends for trade show participation
