What are the responsibilities and job description for the Power BI Developer position at CTI Consulting?
Major purpose: We are looking for a contractor to assist executing on dashboard creation.
Major functions:
* Assist with refinement of the development of business and functional requirements for reports.
- Design, develop, test and implement reports as necessary to fulfill business requirements.
- Support user training, testing, documentation, and roll-out of reports and end-user reporting tools.
- Maintain knowledge of business processes and understand cross-functional business relationships and their use of information.
- Construct reusable reports based on common reporting requests using available tools.
- Initiate and maintain cooperative relationships with co-workers, managers and supervisors, customers/clients.
- Contribute and develop insights into leveraging collected data to improve operational performance and customer experience.
- Document sources of reports and steps necessary to generate complex reports.
- Provide technical assistance and cross training to other team members as required.
Education/Experience/Licenses etc.:
- Collaborating with team on the creation of finance power BI dashboards
- Will work with stakeholders to pull data, create reports and perform analytics
- Working knowledge of analytical techniques and process to implement solutions
- Experience using MS Power Query
- Experience building analytical solutions using MS Power BI (or similar tool like Tableau)
- Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycles
- Ability to work with changes in priorities.
- Ability to listen to end users’ needs and provide innovative and proficient reporting solutions
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of staff
- Experience translating business questions / requirements into meaningful reports.
