Position Overview:
CTL Forestry is seeking a motivated and organized Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic team. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting the project management team in the planning, execution, and completion of infrastructure and land development projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager in coordinating infrastructure and land development projects from planning to completion.
- Help develop project timelines, schedules, and ensure that all milestones are met.
- Liaise with on-site teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth operations and adherence to timelines.
- Monitor project budgets, track costs, and assist in resource allocation to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing project reports, work plans, and other documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental laws, and company policies during project execution.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure project progress aligns with the planned schedules.
- Provide administrative support, including maintaining project records and coordinating meetings with stakeholders.
- Address project-related issues, escalating to the Project Manager when necessary.
- Support in maintaining communication with clients and other stakeholders to keep them updated on project progress.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Engineering, Project Management, or related field (preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience in project coordination or management, ideally in the forestry, engineering, or environmental sectors.
- Knowledge of logging operations and forestry management, civil engineering, or construction management (preferred).
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management software.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
- Travel to project sites across California may be required.
- Combination of office work and fieldwork.
