Title: Shipfitter

Minimum Education: High school graduate or GED.
Minimum Experience: Two (2) years of welding experience at the journeyman level of competence in the skills and knowledge required for welding in a shipboard environment.
A ship fitter can be tasked with building, maintaining, and repairing small boats such as towboats and tugboats, as well as container ships, icebreakers, and ocean liners.
