MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
- Team player but also comfortable working alone
- At least 2 months' experience in a mechanical assembly environment
- Able to lift 40 pounds unassisted.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Familiar with the ISO 9001:2015 standard and its basic requirements.
Overview:
Employee’s primary responsibility is to assemble and test a range of products, semi-products and/or components, and to ensure compliance with their manufacturing specifications. Employee may also be asked to perform some office tasks such as data entry and process improvement. Candidate must be comfortable in new situations and willing to learn new skills. Following training, employee will be expected to build and test a variety of products in the portfolio. Successful performance requires a combination of mechanical aptitude, self-direction, drive, solid decision-making, good communication skills, problem-solving skills, and comfort as both an independent contributor and a team player. Reports to the Repair Center and Technical Support Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Runs and reviews SAP reports to see daily work assignments.
- Reviews those assignments and communicates any challenges and suggestions to the production planner.
- Performs assembly operations, which includes all electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical assemblies or sub-assemblies.
- Uses specific equipment and/or a range of specialized tools and maintains their functionality or seeks the assistance of support staff. Equipment typically includes basic hand tools, small air and hydraulic presses, electronic meters, and pneumatic control panels.
- Performs fabrication procedures such as the molding, trimming, and testing of rubber diaphragms.
- Organizes own inventory, constantly monitors availability of parts, and chooses appropriate parts or components according to respective specification.
- Verifies the accuracy of the SAP stock count, identifies the root cause of any discrepancies, and implements corrective action.
- May perform sight checks, functionality or general quality test routines and procedures.
- Assists in resolving routine manufacturing-related problems affecting daily operations.
- Performs basic preventive maintenance procedures on equipment in the employee’s work area.
- May serve as infrequent backup resource for material handling processes. Material handling involves moving newly received parts to their correct storage locations, issuing parts to the production floor, and performing the relevant SAP transactions.
- Some office duties such as data entry and process improvement.
