Description
The ED Tech assists the RN and ED Physician with patient care based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice and under direct supervision of RN. Performs a variety of duties to include, but not limited to patient transport, venipuncture, vital signs, non-sterile dressings, and EKG's. Must have high school diploma or GED. Must have the ability to multi-task. Must have excellent interpersonal skills. Experience in acute care hospital and/or patient care experience preferred, but not required. Venipuncture class and BLS certification required within six weeks of hire.
