Job Description: As a Part-Time Patient Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support. This role is ideal for someone who is outgoing, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping others. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our patients feel valued and well-cared for throughout their dental journey.
Responsibilities:
Greet patients warmly and assist them with scheduling appointments, answering inquiries, and completing necessary paperwork.
Coordinate patient appointments and follow-up care, ensuring optimal scheduling efficiency and patient satisfaction.
Verify insurance coverage and process insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner.
Collect and record patient information, including medical history and treatment preferences, in our practice management software.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and patient waiting areas.
Assist with billing and financial transactions, including processing payments and providing financial estimates to patients.
Collaborate closely with dental staff to ensure seamless coordination of patient care and excellent communication.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in healthcare administration is a plus.
Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare or dental setting.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with patients and colleagues.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
Proficiency in computer skills, including experience with Carestack dental practice management software.
Positive attitude, team player mentality, and a genuine desire to contribute to a positive patient experience.
