Position Overview
The Human Resources Director is responsible for all strategic and administrative HR duties for a fast-paced, growing company. The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience functioning as a strategic partner across a broad range of human resource initiatives and programs, including employee relations, talent acquisition, onboarding, total rewards, performance, diversity and inclusion, policy implementation, professional development, compensation, and employment law compliance.
Responsibilities
- Lead the entire employee lifecycle:
- Acquisition: management of organic recruitment channels (Careers page, LinkedIn, Employee Referral Program), interview strategy, candidate onboarding
- Retention: compensation, perks, benefits, DEI, effective employee relations, engagement surveys, performance management, professional development
- Transitions: career advancement and promotions, exit interviews, employee offboarding
- Serve as subject matter expert and primary internal resource for all HR matters
- Partner with CEO to lead and maintain a diverse, positive culture across multiple office locations
- Manage external HR support systems, including Professional Employer Organization (PEO), software and benefits vendors
- Measure and monitor key HR performance indicators with focus on improving retention, time to hire and employee satisfaction
- Drive a culture of high performance through effective performance-management and incentive programs
- Identify ways to drive new efficiencies, including the development of smart and compliant policies and programs
- Manage employee relation issues with care, accuracy, professionalism and follow-through
- Manage total rewards, including compensation strategy, differentiated perks, competitive benefits and other items that ensure company remains an employer of choice
- Creates effective policies and ensures company adherence
- Establish and maintain Affirmative Action programs and act as the Equal Employment Opportunity officer
- Other cross-functional responsibilities, as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Psychology or related field
- 7–10 years’ experience in human resources, with progressively responsible HR generalist and management experience
- Current SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP or other related certification required
- Experience scaling the HR aspects of a business and implementing processes and procedures to support long-term success
- Thrives in a multifunctional team environment and as a solo hands-on practitioner
- High emotional intelligence (EQ)
- Proven ability to make sound judgments and understand how decisions affect business functions and the organization as a whole
- Top-notch communicator and strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent organization and time-management skills
- Successful track record of executing on high-impact HR initiatives
- Some travel to other offices may be required
