Job Title: Business Manager
Classification: Department Manager
Department: Business Operations
Reports To: General Manager
Principal Purpose of Job:
Ensuring that business functions and departments are operating effectively and efficiently
while developing a fair and positive work environment, one that supports the organizations
Code of Conduct, these departments include: Sales/Marketing, Retail/Onboard, Guest
Operations, Reservations/Revenue, Housekeeping, Human Resources and Accounting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
? Provide day-to-day leadership for managers in each business operations department
which includes roughly 7 team members.
? Develop goals and objectives for each department on an annual basis
? Review and approve schedules for each department to achieve budgetary goals while
ensuring adequate staffing to deliver an incredible guest and employee experience
? Develop, in conjunction with department managers, training programs that support
their role and each of their team members role
? Review and assist with the staff planning that supports the organization’s guest
operations which include coordinating recruiting efforts with Human Resources
? Ensure that there is a high degree of communication is practiced across the business
operations team
? Contract Negotiations, Management, and Maintenance of Records Oversight. Maintain
an active list of obligations for the organization to ensure renewal dates are
acknowledged and any renewal terms are negotiated. Additionally, when seeking
products or services to support the organization, ensure there are always a minimum of
3 bids secured so that there is an awareness of the terms to always select the best
option for the organization

Other Duties
? Establish Bi-Weekly meetings and direct reports
? Provide Commission Updates – Routinely develop reports needed by the commission so
they are kept informed of the organization’s performance, significant challenges and
meaningful successes
? Budget Development and Management
? Approval of significant department expenditures
? Maintain a positive company culture
? Support and mentor team members in each of their roles
? Possess and Maintain a Valid Driver’s License
? Other Duties as assigned
