We are seeking a creative, energetic, and detail-oriented Proposal/Marketing Manager to support general marketing activities for the East Coast: including the tri-state (New York, Connecticut, New Jersey), New England (Boston, Providence), the Mid-Atlantic (Washington, D.C., North Carolina), and South Florida regions.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this position will be based in either our New York, NY or Westport, CT office. The Proposal/Marketing Manager will develop customized marketing materials by working collaboratively with technical leads and business development staff while ensuring the company’s messaging is consistent and our brand reinforced. This position will play an integral role in growing our proactive marketing efforts and developing proposals to issue to potential clients.
Responsibilities
- Work with technical leads and/or internal business development team members to prepare customized collateral for new business opportunities. Materials will include statements of qualifications, sales sheets, case studies, and brochures.
- Draft proposal-related information, including project descriptions, resumes, technical service proposal language, and more.
- Prepare company-formatted personnel resumes and project information sheets and update on a quarterly basis. Writing should be clear and compelling, while adhering to company standards and style.
- Support the development of simultaneous proposal responses. Analyze RFPs/RFQs and similar enquiries and confirm that responses meet all requirements.
- Develop presentation materials for potential client interviews. The process will include working closely with the project lead in developing the messaging, researching the client or prospect, executing the final deck with content and design support, and coaching for interviews.
- Support preparation efforts for potential client interviews.
- Participate in concept development for regional and sector-specific marketing campaigns.
- Edit materials produced by marketing team members, with an eye toward clarity, consistency, accuracy, and adherence to requirements.
- Support marketing administrative activities.
Qualifications
- Ability to work well with others, show flexibility and good listening skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree in (or higher) in English, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or equivalent is required.
- 5 years' of relevant experience in the A/E/C industry and/or professional services is highly preferred.
- Required proficiency in Adobe InDesign.
- Required proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
- Proficiency with CRM systems, such as Deltek or Microsoft Dynamics, is preferred.
- Exceptional written and communication skills, and strong graphic and content creation skills.
- Anticipate work needs and proactively accomplish tasks with minimum direction.
- Exercise creativity, independence, and resourcefulness in completing tasks accurately in a compressed time frame.
