We are looking for a talented:
Value Chain Innovation (VCI) Manager
To join our team specializing in Value Chain Innovation (VCI), for our Power Systems Business
(Hybrid /Remote Role): This role is Based out of Seymour, IN . However, this role could be fully remote or sit in one of our Cummins office locations, such as Indiana or Minnesota.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Lead cross-functional teams through the evaluation of new growth areas for Cummins, including new technologies, markets, and business models. Includes project scoping, planning, strategy framework facilitation, workshops, and delegation of workstreams.
- Manage key stakeholders for VCI projects and the VCI project framework via sponsor engagement, gathering stakeholder feedback, management review groups, and socialization of framework and projects.
- Research ecosystems and value chains of new growth areas via market reports, news articles, reviewing previous internal projects, internal subject matter expert interviews, external subject matter expert interviews, and discussions with external parties who currently participate in the ecosystems and value chains. Synthesize research insights within the context of Cummins.
- Create a written, cohesive view of the area of interest with recommendations of if, how, why, where, and when, Cummins should participate in an area of interest.
- Collaborate with appropriate corporate and/or business unit departments to progress potential partnerships, including identification of potential partners, A-review content creation, exploratory discussions with external parties, and/or partnership development discussions.
- Continually improve VCI project framework through reflection, gathering stakeholder feedback, brainstorming, and trialing improvements.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in business administration or equivalent degree (Preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, in a related field.
- Experience communicating complex topics clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences through both written and oral communication
- Experience engaging in exploratory conversations with industry experts and 3rd parties to evaluate ideas and partnership opportunities (Preferred)
- Experience with or knowledge of industrial and energy sectors (Preferred)
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
