Cumulus Media | Atlanta, GA has an immediate, fully remote opening for a Benefits Analyst based out of our Atlanta Corporate Office. The Benefits Analyst serves as the primary support role for employee information, ongoing plan vendor execution, and the coordination of all benefits plans for the company including medical, dental, vision and 401K. Reporting directly to the VP of Benefits, you will assist the ongoing operations of current benefit programs, determine areas for improvement related to better plan implementation, and ensure the effective day-to-day operations of the plans. This position is also responsible for maintaining and updating the benefits module in Workday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the coordination of benefits administration – plan implementation, benefit plan servicing, ad hoc reporting, as well as the related vendor management processes with benefits programs
- Champion the Workday HRIS benefits module administration including open enrollment, file feed management, and the annual 1095 reporting
- Communication to employees of company-wide benefit programs, including Medical, Pharmacy, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, Wellbeing, EAP, COBRA, and 401(k)
- First line support to employees and ongoing communication and education
- First line coordination with benefits vendors for problem resolution and program implementation
- Coordination of annual open enrollment and rollout of new programs
- Auditing of benefits processes and file transfers and integrations
- Funding processes, invoice processing and related vendor interfaces
- Annual and ongoing compliance and filing support
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in benefits administration required
- Bachelor’s degree in business or human resources preferred
- Expert knowledge of the Workday Benefits, HRIS, and Payroll systems and impact to benefits administration highly preferred
- Experience various Workday HCM reporting; as well as creating and uploading EIBs to Workday
- Strong Excel and spreadsheet experience including v-look ups, pivot tables and macros
- Experience working across field and remote locations throughout the US with benefits eligible populations of at least 1,500 team members
- Expert knowledge with HRIS and Payroll systems and impact to benefits administration. Workday HCM system preferred
- Experience running various reports in Workday HCM as well as creating and uploading EIBs to Workday
- Strong Excel and spreadsheet experience including v-look ups, pivot tables and macros
- Experience in working with vendors and external broker resources
- Understands basic benefits accounting and financial impact, budgeting, and the financial reporting of benefits plans with the ability to actively partner with Accounting and Finance
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, strong project management skills
- Problem analysis and problem resolution
- Strong customer service orientation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
