What You’ll Do:
The AP Manager (temporary) will have responsibility for managing all activities within the accounts payable function. Ensures timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers and maintains accurate records and control reports. Reviews applicable accounting reports and accounts payable register(s) to ensure accuracy. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adheres to approved budgets.
- Manages Accounts Payable function – including Vendor Relations, reviews of invoices and payments.
- Manages a team of Accounts Payable Specialists and establish team goals, develop others and model how we work together
- Develops, implements, and maintains systems, procedures and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines
- Manages monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end information; ensures accuracy of financial statements
- Provides accounting assistance to project managers and operations staff; responds to financial questions/concerns to meet business needs
- Prepares and recommends operating and personnel budgets for approval. Monitors spending for adherence to budget, recommends variances as necessary
- The position is temporary and will be based in Las Vegas, NV

Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field preferred
- Seven or more years of accounting/payable experience
- Two or more years of managerial experience included
- Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software
- Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills
- Strong interpersonal skills for interacting accountants, clients, and upper management
- Good communication skills for communicating with support personnel and management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good presentation skills for educating internal clients on accounting principles
- Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
- Exceptional data entry skills and aptitude for working with numbers
- Significant, first-hand experience operating with spreadsheets
- Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal
- Well versed in customer service and negotiation skills
- Highly detail-oriented thinking and proven accuracy
