What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fertigation Supervisor position at Curaleaf?
The Fertigation Supervisor will ensure all irrigation and nutrient feeding requirements are followed accordingly for both sides of the Webster cultivation facility. Performs installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems. Operates power equipment and hand tools to install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems and related components, including irrigation lines, sprinkler heads, control panels, valves, pumps, etc.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Develop nutrient programs with the Cultivation Manager to ensure strain-specific needs are met
· Maintain strategy for crop irrigation and feeding schedules
· Work closely with the growing team to ensure irrigation plan is appropriately implemented and maintained
· Partner with Cultivation Manager to maintain inventory of all chemicals and fertilizers on site
· Ensure fertilizer concentrate tanks are filled adequately
· Make daily adjustments to the irrigation schedule
· Respond to system alarms and diagnose/troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively
· Take measurements, record data, and observations for all grow rooms
· Write and execute Standard Operating Procedures related to fertigation
· Performs regular calibration of nutrient testing instruments
· Monitor soil moisture content of the crop, and obtain water samples for testing
· Work closely with the other supervisors and managers to maintain a healthy, happy, clean, highly productive, and compliant facility.
· Responsible for directing employees’ daily tasks
· Provide leadership to fertigation team, train team members on new and updated SOPs
· Drive production goals
· Streamline processes
· Ensure tasks are being completed safely and per the SOP
· Communicate laterally with other management staff
· Communicate with upper management
· Ability to provide strong leadership to address employee concerns and administer disciplinary action if necessary
· Approve payroll
· Provide policy updates
· Recommend staff members for advancement or promotions
· Assist with interviews and hiring
· Able to work variable shifts to meet business requirements
· Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays as scheduling requires

Skill, Experience & Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Botany, Agriculture, Ag Business, Environmental Science, Ecology, Soil Science, Horticulture or similar degree preferred
· One year of management experience preferred
· One year experience growing cannabis in a regulated facility preferred
· One year of irrigation, plumbing or similar experience preferred
· Must be 21 years of age
· Ability to comply with established safety standards
· Experience effectively using computer systems, software, and hardware
· Subject to background check per state cannabis regulations
· Must be able to work in a challenging fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong attention to details
· Strong interpersonal communication skills
· Ability to train co-workers

Language Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
