About Us

Our two paralegals joined our team in 2006 and 2013. We are looking for another long-term team member who values the fulfillment, flexibility, and rewards we offer our employees.
Our office is located in a 220-year-old house that has a basement, second story and no elevator. We provide off street parking and we each have our own workspace. We are a busy office and spend our days “moving the ball forward” to get our client work accomplished.
Our ideal candidate has 2 years’ experience in a law office. We are seeking someone who enjoys working independently and is self-motivated. Our attorneys often work off-site so you need to be comfortable working through phone, Zoom, MS Teams, email, etc. As many of our clients are dealing with the challenges that come with aging, you must be patient, understanding and compassionate.
In accordance with office policy, full COVID-19 vaccine and booster is required of all employees. Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Meeting, corresponding and communicating with clients;
- Assisting our attorneys with all aspects of Estate Planning, Elder Law, and Trust/Estate/Probate administration, and Guardianship/Conservatorship;
- Retrieving files from basement and 2nd floor, which requires navigating narrow staircases
- Serving as a notary public during estate plan signings, which can take place outdoors or indoors subject to our office’s pandemic protocols;
- Completing various administrative tasks
Requirements & Qualifications
- 2 years’ paralegal experience working in a law firm
- Paralegal certificate preferred
- Experience using ElderCounsel and/or WealthCounsel programs is helpful but not required
- Experience with Adobe, Outlook and Word
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Expresses compassion and empathy to clients
Salary is $45,000 or more depending on your experience.
