Job Description Summary

The Union Administrator will be responsible for union employee data maintenance, extraction and reconciliation of payroll results, reconciliation of balance sheet accruals against payments made, among other analytical and accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical with very good communication skills, strong attention to detail, and solid Excel proficiency. The nature of the role calls for excellent Customer Service skills.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of union employee data, including the governance Union Wage Schedules,
  • Extraction and reconciliation of payroll results,
  • Reconciliation of balance sheet accruals against payments made,
  • Review of payroll forms (i.e. for completeness, accuracy, appropriate signatures) and act as a liaison with Human Recourses and other applicable business lines,
  • Ensure the integrity of Employee Master Data files,
  • Data Entry into JD Edwards Enterprise,
  • Provide End User assistance on issues with all forms, policies, procedures and Wage Schedules
  • Assistance with other analytical and accounting tasks as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in benefits, payroll, and/or finance in a corporate environment working with unions
  • Strong understanding of the Collective Bargaining Agreement
  • Must be customer service oriented with excellent and oral/written communication skills
  • Advanced MS Suite skills, specifically with Excel, are essential to the position
  • Ability to interpret and implement policy and procedures
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised
  • Must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
