Purchasing Production Agent

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Purchasing Agent to join our team. As a Purchasing Agent, you will be responsible for procuring materials, supplies, and equipment necessary for our organization's operations. Your role will involve managing the supply chain, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods.

Duties:
- Source and procure materials, supplies, and equipment from approved vendors
- Review purchase requisitions and determine appropriate procurement method
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to obtain the best value for the organization
- Prepare purchase orders and ensure accuracy of order details
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to determine inventory needs and maintain appropriate stock levels
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns that may arise
- Collaborate with logistics team to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information

Experience:
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar procurement role
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices
- Proficiency in using procurement software such as AS400, SAP, or JD Edwards
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms and pricing
- Familiarity with contract management and legal requirements related to purchasing
- Ability to analyze market trends and make informed purchasing decisions
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
