CV Resources is seeking a dedicated Civil Construction Estimator to join our client's team! Our client has over a century of dedicated industry experience in the North Bay and is fully employee-owned. As a Civil Construction Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the estimation process, with a focus on earthwork construction material quantity take-offs using AGTEK software. You will also collaborate closely with the estimating staff to support the bid process and undertake additional responsibilities within the estimating department as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimate Setup: Assist the estimating department in preparing earthwork bid/estimates. This involves interpreting drawings and specifications, ensuring safety compliance, scheduling, managing contracts, estimating costs, overseeing purchasing, maintaining quality control, and coordinating field employees.
AGTEK Takeoffs: Review project plans and specifications, and collect quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
Technical Coordination: Assume responsibility for the administrative coordination of AGTEK's technical aspects, spanning all areas and information products. This includes daily operational support, updates, and enhancements to integration tools.
Document Management: Maintain document products to ensure efficient utilization of the system, creating documents that lead to member and customer satisfaction.
Cross Training: Support the company's organizational goals and objectives by participating in cross-training initiatives. Enhance your knowledge and skills and contribute to the cross-training of colleagues for improved versatility in task performance.
Qualifications, Education, and Experience:
A minimum of three years of relevant experience, education, or background in any of the following fields: CAD, AGTEK, computer drafting, construction management, civil engineering, engineering, or computer technology.
Strong communication skills are essential for effective collaboration and conveying technical information.
