What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automation Mechanic position at CVS Health?
CVS Health has an exciting job opportunity as an Automation Mechanic and we are looking for someone to excel in a complex integral part of the Pharmacy Warehouse.
An Automation Mechanic is responsible maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of production equipment/ automated dispensing equipment. Robots and conveyor systems are critical in an automated pharmacy environment, as necessary repairs to them is a major component to this role. The automation mechanic is also responsible for preventative maintenance on above equipment.
A successful candidate will possess knowledge in fields such as mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. An understanding of electrical theory is needed, as portion of the position will require reading and interpreting of schematics. Knowledge and understanding of motor mechanics is also necessary due to this role requiring troubleshooting, maintenance and installation of different motor parts and equipment.
Hours: C shift - Wednesday - Friday - 3:00pm -1:30am - Saturday - 12:00pm-10:30pm

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 19.50
Maximum: 40.10
Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of risk assessment skills including ability to understand a process and determine how a change can affect that process
- 2 years of project management skills with ability to multi-task & prioritize
- 2 years of performing Preventive Maintenance (PM) to automated manufacturing equipment and utilizing LOTO procedures
- 2 years of troubleshooting, repairing & maintaining automated equipment controlled by Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
Preferred Qualifications
- Maintenance experience in an industrial environment
- Knowledge of computers and computer applications such as AutoCAD and drafting skills are a plus.
- Skilled in troubleshooting of electro-mechanical control systems.
- Leadership experience within a maintenance department.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
