Position Summary
The primary responsibility of the Contract Analyst is to ensure the intent surrounding the contract negotiation process is accurately reflected in the final document and to ensure version control of the agreement redlines. The Contract Analyst will work primarily with the CVS Specialty Pharmacy trade group, internal stakeholders, and pharmaceutical manufacturers. Generally, the contracts will be for Purchase, Distribution, Pharmacy Services, Confidentiality Agreements and Settlements. These contracts must accurately reflect CVS Caremark’s current business strategies and must have approval from all respective business units, in accordance with the Contract Review and Approval Process SOP and all current regulatory requirements. This position is Work From Home Flex; candidate is expected to be in Northbrook, IL office 3 days per week.
The main responsibility of the position involves managing all phases of our Specialty Pharmacy Manufacturer agreement process including:
Work with redlines and ensuring version control of assigned agreements
Customize and modify existing contract language
Track and maintain all stages of agreement document process
Ensure timely contract completion and execution
Collaborate with internal stakeholders during specialty contract negotiations and with pharmaceutical manufacturers
Organize and moderate intent calls with key stakeholders across the organization to discuss contracts and amendments prior to review
Organize conference calls with manufacturer account representatives and/or legal counsel to finalize agreements/amendments
Review final documents and ensure all proper internal approvals are obtain prior to submitting for signature
Implementation notification and facility list tracking

Required Qualifications
2 years of experience with contracts, healthcare or insurance.
Intermediate level Microsoft Word and Excel
Must be able to commute to the Northbrook, IL office 3 days a week
Preferred Qualifications
Contract support or contract interpretation experience
Pharmacy/Specialty Pharmacy/Medical Industry knowledge
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$40,600.00 - $87,500.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
