What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Records Clerk position at CVS Health?
Coram/CVS Health is looking for customer service-oriented professionals to join our El Paso, Tx team as a Pharmacy Clerk! In this fast-paced and dynamic role, you will work alongside our Pharmacists by communicating with patients, Physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding the coordination of home infusion orders. You will be responsible for ordering and maintaining inventory, gathering and organizing patient information, and ensuring patient documentation is up to date in our electronic database. At Coram, we believe that Pharmacy Clerks are a key part of maintaining constant communication between our branch team members and clients, therefore creating a positive experience for our patients.
As a Pharmacy Clerk, you will:
*Assist with maintenance of patient files; Sort and file Physician Orders and all clinical documentation.
*Answer and route telephone calls, assist with new referral coordination as needed.
*Provide administrative support to the specialty team – typing/faxing/tracking physician’s orders, discharging patient from service, filing of paperwork in the correct sections of the medication
*Retrieve patient lab work results and fax to appropriate physicians and well as trend in patient medical record.
*Complete Medical records request , maintain patient medical records at the branch level
*Inventory management and storage, complete appropriate documentation, such as labels, log sheets and reports
*Participate in on call rotation as indicated by staffing and business needs
*Assemble and package customer orders for shipment
*Prepare medication orders for shipment with the appropriate carrier
*Assist with stocking supplies and other tasks associated with the department
*Have excellent written and verbal customer service skills and advanced computer skills to interact with key partners and patients

Required Qualifications
• Minimum one year customer service experience.
• Minimum one year experience working in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook and Word.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work with a sense of urgency and pay close attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active state Pharmacy Technician license
Education
High school diploma or GED Equivalent required.
