Position Summary CVS Health has an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to be part of our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy Team! In this role you will assist in accurately reading, interpreting and entering prescriptions into the computer system, including the calculation of doses, assignment of directions and accepting proper insurance payment in a timely fashion. You will also contact doctor's offices and insurance companies to ensure the accuracy of our patient's specialty medication orders. At times you will also be responsible for answering the patient calls to coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, which includes verifying and re-verifying benefits. Successful candidates will have superb communication skills and excellent data entry skills. Required Qualifications - Valid AZ Pharmacy Technician License - 6 months experience working in a pharmacy - Must be able to sit or stand for duration of shift (8-10hrs). While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to utilize a keyboard and operate. Preferred Qualifications - 6 months work experience with Windows-Based applications like Window, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications - 3 months experience handling and resolving customer needs over the phone Prefer Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions - Medical Billing, Coding and other Medical assisting roles - Customer service experience in an office environment - 6 Months professional work experience preferred involving inbound and/or outbound phone customer service - Strong customer service skills - Excellent communication skills - Strong knowledge of computer programs - Excellent data entry skills Education - H.S. Diploma or equivalent Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $17.00 - $27.90 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
