We leverage our forensics expertise and technology to help social media and messaging apps stop harmful content before it’s shared.  

Key Duties and Responsibilities 

We are looking for our first VP of Marketing. A key member of the executive team leading product marketing strategy, operational delivery of marketing, and developing the marketing team at Cyacomb.  

Thought Leadership  

  • Work closely with the CEO, product leadership, and Executive team to build and communicate the vision for the Cyacomb brand.  

  • Develop and drive a global agenda around both our Digital Forensics and Online Safety products, managing Cyacomb’s reputation as a thought leader in these spaces.   

  • Leverage Cyacomb’s position as a thought leader, along with the goodwill of legislators, law enforcement, the technology sector, and the public at large in order to craft customer stories, blogs, videos, events and more. 

  • Play a key role in the leadership team in developing and implementing ambitious international GTM strategies.  

  • Ensure that Cyacomb can leverage a variety of customer touchpoints (tradeshows, content, events, advertising, etc) effectively to drive this agenda, giving Cyacomb a strong presence in the right conversations, and leveraging these contact points to drive the right lead generation.  

  • Based on your deep understanding of our customers, be the voice of the marketing team to Product Management and the rest of the company, sharing marketing insights on customer needs in order to help shape roadmaps. 

  • Work closely with Product Management to craft launch strategies. 

  • Be a strong evangelist for the brand to key stakeholders (peers, customers, partners, and current and potential employees), articulating our unique value and vision for the future. 

  • Play a key role in external fundraising initiatives, crafting the external story for Cyacomb.  

  • Create and manage positioning, and content design for both the Forensics and Safety markets. 

  

Driving Scale  

  • Define and deliver a customer strategy that enables Cyacomb to win business and continue to deliver rapid growth.   

  • Own external communications, and sales and marketing collateral, around product features, new releases, and the resulting customer benefits/value proposition. 

  • Develop in-depth knowledge as our internal expert on the markets, customer groups, competitive landscape and Cyacomb’s capabilities to ensure we target and execute effectively on customer acquisition, retention, revenue, and expansion. 

  • Build and develop a highly performant marketing team and establish PMM and content design practices across US and EMEA, ensuring a culture of action, and an agility suitable for a fast growing company.  Building on a current marketing team consisting of three people in the UK (Head of Marketing, Marketing Manager, Marketing Exec) and one in the USA (Marketing Manager).  

  • Develop a Channel Partner Programme to support key Partners in driving revenue.  

  • Work with the Customer Success team to ensure that customers become evangelists for the product they love. 

  • Drive referral metrics and NPS in partnership with Product Management.  

Experience and Background 

  • Be experienced in leading marketing functions in partnership with sales and product management, with demonstrable success in defining customer and marketing strategies in high growth businesses.   

  • Have previously been part of a growth journey, and therefore be excited by the prospect of being able to build a team, marketing organisation, processes and strategies as the business grows.  

  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of what it is to work in an SME environment.  

  • Combine the ability to think strategically and galvanise a group around a vision, with a hands-on, agile and applied approach.   

  • Have prior experience building scalable processes at this stage of an organisation’s development.  

  • Have strong experience in customer segmentation and persona development.   

  • Demonstrate a strong marketing skillset, with particular capability across thought leadership and reputation management, product marketing, and lead generation. A good understanding of digital marketing channels as well as getting the best out of in-person events.  

  • Experience across an international footprint. In particular, US experience would be advantageous.  

  • Ideally bring key segment experience across SME and Midmarket enterprise, or potentially consumer categories with a highly segmented approach to audiences.

  • Able to be both in the detail at a deeply granular and tactical level, whilst also being able to think strategically and see the “big picture”. Will be adept at operating in a growth environment with limited infrastructure and processes.  

  • High energy, agile and fast-moving, able to quickly react and pivot as appropriate, whilst moving at pace. Combining a strong level of data literacy with instinct. Unafraid to test ideas, make decisions and fail fast.  

  • A strong leader of people, able to build and develop teams. Experience in distributed teams would be an advantage.  

  • Deep care for giving a voice to customers and leveraging technology for good.  

  • Capable of working with cross-functional teams, at all levels of management.  

  • An excellent communicator and storyteller, with strong written and oral skills. Must demonstrate an ability to translate extremely complex subject matter into easy-to-understand persuasive content. 

  • Ability to draw quantitative and qualitative insights from ambiguous environments and leverage them into actionable strategies. 

  • Innately curious and passionate.
