- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain quality assurance procedures, standards, and process.
- Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Monitor production lines to ensure quality standards are met.
- Review customer requirements and ensure products meet them.
- Participates in new part launch process, to ensure manufacturability of new products; reviews prints, customer specifications, and solid model if provided. As needed work with our internal team and customer to implement actions to ensure parts meet customer requirements.
- Works with Sales, QA Manager, and their customers to understand customer's specifications, part application, inspection methods, production processes, and all other factors affecting the production of the customer's parts.
- Responsible for assigning SPS storyboard for major quality problems. Works with QA Manager and problem solving team in completing SPS storyboard.
- With guidance from the QA Manager and leadership to create and implement customer QIPs as needed. Keeps customer updated on progress and works with customer on QIP terms, conveys terms to the organization.
- Understand the process to create process flow diagrams, PFMEAs, and control plans as required for PPAP submission. Works with QA manager to allocate resources to ensure that PPAP requirements are met for their customer accounts.
- Performs audits (ISO/LPA's) to validate adherence to the management system; assists QA Manager and leadership with developing appropriate corrective actions.
- Investigate customer complaints and identify root cause of problems.
- Develop corrective and preventive actions for identified problems.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or related field or equivalent experience
- 2 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role.
- Strong knowledge of medium to heavy manufacturing equipment.
- Welding/Fabricating knowledge
- Proficiency with data analysis and statistical techniques.
- Manage customer quality projects.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
