Position Overview: The Site Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring safety protocols are followed onsite and that health and safety standards are met on a USACE construction site. This position will be responsible for conducting safety inspections and audits, training and educating staff on safety protocols, and ensuring compliance with USACE, OSHA, EM 385, and/or NAVAC regulations.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct safety inspections and audits to ensure all standards of safety are met
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety plans, policies, and procedures
- Provide safety training and education to staff and contractors
- Ensure compliance with USACE, OSHA, EM 385, and NAVAC regulations
- Investigate accidents and incidents, document findings, and suggest corrective action
- Perform other duties as required
- Experience in safety, health, and environmental management in construction
- Current OSHA 30 certification
- Knowledge of USACE, OSHA, EM 385, and NAVAC regulations
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
