Position: EHS Supervisor
Location: Falconer, NY (ONSITE)
JOB SUMMARY
As the Plant Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Supervisor, you will actively participate as a valued member of local team in providing leadership to the Health, Safety and Environment programs at the Monofrax plant, within the defined World Class Manufacturing framework, in a manner consistent with the Principles of Conduct and Action of Saint-Gobain culture. This hands-on leadership position entails active work in the areas of safety in the workplace, driving safe behaviours, accident prevention, and minimizing environmental wastes to assure compliance with all local, state, and federal occupational health, safety and environmental laws, regulations, and guidelines, as well as with corporate health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Industrial Relations, or any other relevant field of study; or Technical College Degree in Environment, Hygiene and Work Safety combined with significant related experience.
- Experience in industrial, practical leader in a union industrial manufacturing environment.
- Experience in developing and delivering EHS training material for various personnel.
- Experience in chemicals, environmental science, and human health.
- OSHA 10 hour or 30-hour Certification required.
NICE TO HAVE
- Master's degree in environmental science or other derived branches.
- Knowledge of WCM Environmental and Safety Pillars.
- 40 Hour HAZWOPER - Preferred
