About This Role
Cyngn is scaling its team to deliver its pragmatic product vision into customers' sites as we take on more ambitious deployments. As a Prototype Fabricator at Cyngn you will work with a cross-functional team to develop and deploy autonomous solutions across multiple industrial applications and platforms. You will support the vehicle hardware team by fabricating prototypes, supporting vehicle builds and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
\n- Working closely with Cyngn hardware engineers to build prototype vehicles, sensor kits, and test fixturesOperating associated equipment (TIG/MIG Welder, Mill, Lathe, Plasma Table, Shear and Break Press) to fabricate components
- Assemble vehicles and subassemblies for first prototypes
- Build prototype electrical harnessingCollaborate with engineers and designers to resolve design issues and ensure prototypes meet specifications
- Build and assemble prototype components according to specifications, ensuring quality and functionality
- Update and maintain engineering/internal test fleet of autonomous vehicles, as needed
- Minimum 3 years (5 years preferred) of experience as a fabricator/technician.Ability to work well in a fast pace team environment
- Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues in automotive and heavy machinery
- Experience creating electrical harnesses; running wires, terminating circuits, and troubleshooting mis-pins
- Ability to build prototypes from mechanical drawings and schematics
- Proficient in using various computer-aided design (CAD) software (e.g. Solidworks)
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies
