Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and resolve routine legal questions under attorney supervision.
- Provide research and support activities and counsel company personnel on routine matters.
- Prepare agreements, instruments, documents, and pleadings for litigation and non-litigation matters.
- Manage Legal Department administrative tasks including outside counsel management, litigation hold management, legal invoice processing, and records management.
- Research claims/complaints and make recommendations during the pre-litigation phase and in litigation.
- Perform advanced legal research and analysis.
- Assist in reviewing and drafting legal documents such as client correspondence, agreements, and case summaries.
- Manage discovery and review legal documents.
- Interact with internal clients in meetings and group projects; possibly lead such efforts.
- Conduct e-discovery and coordinate document productions.
- Assist in case management by organizing and maintaining case files.
- Provide guidance on service of process, subpoena, and garnishment matters.
- Manage UCC log and handle annual reports and licensing.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal certification, or related work experience.
- 5 years of paralegal experience.
- Strong professional and interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with legal research tools such as Lexis or Westlaw.
