What are the responsibilities and job description for the Strength and Conditioning Coach position at D1 Training STL West?
D1 Training STL-West is seeking a Strength and Conditioning Coach to join our team! D1 is an athletic- based group training facility for adults and youth athletes ages 7 and up with a mission of providing the best fitness philosophy and facility to its athletes, empowering them to improve themselves by efficiently and consistently reaching their fitness goals.
At D1, our promise to our athletes is: “You pick the goal, we help you get there” and D1 Coaches are the catalysts for our fulfillment of that promise. D1 Coaches implement and instill the D1 training philosophy into every workout. They exhibit the ability to adapt and customize programs in the workouts, in order to tailor them to each athlete. They take a personal stake in the lives of our athletes, maintaining regular contact and monitoring their individual progress toward their goals. They also have the chance to build a personal training book that can include college and professional athletes. D1 Coaches are a part of the best training environment in the industry and are integral to the success of D1 as it continues its rapid growth.
Responsibilities
TRAINING
A D1 Coach must be dedicated to training and improving the lives of D1’s members Scholastic (ages 7-18), Adults, and Teams, by:
· Exhibiting passion, expertise, high-energy, a positive and motivating attitude, strong character, and over-the-top customer service
· Starting and finishing workouts on-time
· Controlling the turf
· Assessing and aligning each member with the proper program
· Expert in our training programs, and ready to deliver the BEST workout according to the program, making sure it’s implemented in a safe and consistent manner according to D1’s 5 Star Training Program
· Building and maintaining relationships with each D1 member
· Coaching 10-20 D1 workouts per week for groups up to 18 members and additional time in personal training, small group and team training
· Delivering accurate, industry-leading educational advice on strength, speed, and nutrition
· Teaching proper form and technique and keeping all our athletes safe
BUILDING
A D1 Coach must build D1’s brand and business by:
· Focusing and living out D1’s mission, character and core values
· Attending and leading marketing efforts through community events, seasonal programs, camps and combines
· Contributing content for social media platforms
· Sales focused to maintain members, grow personal training, and team training
ADDITIONAL QUALITIES
· High-energy, motivating, enthusiastic, and positive attitude
· Strong moral character
· Drive to constantly search for training knowledge
· Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
· Effective time management skills
· Excellent communication skills, teaching, public relations, interpersonal and customer service to individuals of all ages
· First-Aid/CPR/AED training/certifications
· Maintaining, cleaning and organizing weight room and facility, including tidiness of workout areas, setting up and resetting after each workout.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $50.00 per hour
