What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resource Generalist position at DAA Northwest?
We have an immediate opening for a Human Resource Generalist to join our team. This position is responsible for overseeing programs, procedures and plans used in carrying out the HR function at DAA Northwest. This includes providing guidance to managers, supervisors, and employees on various routine to moderately complex HR issues, administration of the bi-weekly payroll process, workers compensation and OSHA reporting, benefit enrollment administration, leave management, and recruiting.
Required Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or appropriate combination of education and experience in Human Resources.
- The position requires office skills including personal computer and Microsoft Office products (Word for Windows, Excel).
- A working knowledge of state and federal wage and hour laws and fair employment practices.
- Superior interpersonal abilities. Ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, mature, flexible.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to resolve conflict and persuade others.
- The ability to establish credibility and be decisive.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information.
- High energy level, comfortable managing multiple priorities and performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
- 2-3 years of prior experience with an HRIS/Payroll system is preferred.
