This position requires 100% travel to various job sites across different locations.


Position Summary:
As an Electrical Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing electrical projects at various job sites, ensuring timely completion, quality workmanship, and adherence to safety standards. This role involves 100% travel, and you will be responsible for supervising permanent and temporary workers and coordinating with project managers to deliver exceptional results.


Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight:
    • Travel to different job sites to oversee electrical projects from start to finish.
    • Ensure that projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and according to specifications.
    • Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to plan project timelines, manpower requirements, and resource allocation.
  • Supervision of Labor:
    • Supervise and provide guidance to workers hired for specific projects.
    • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure that work is completed safely and efficiently.
    • Conduct training sessions and provide on-the-job coaching to workers as needed.
  • Quality Control:
    • Inspect work performed by workers to ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and company standards.
    • Address any issues or discrepancies promptly and implement corrective actions as necessary.
    • Maintain high standards of workmanship and strive for excellence in all aspects of project execution.
  • Safety Compliance:
    • Enforce safety protocols and procedures to create a safe working environment for all employees.
    • Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks with workers to reinforce safety awareness and practices.
    • Investigate and report any safety incidents or near misses, and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
  • Communication and Reporting:
    • Communicate regularly with project managers, supervisors, and other team members to provide updates on project progress, challenges, and solutions.
    • Prepare daily reports, progress reports, and other documentation as required by company policies and project requirements.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or vocational training in electrical systems preferred.
  • 10 years of experience as an electrician, with 5 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
  • Experience in commercial, industrial, or construction electrical work.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse workforce.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to safety and the ability to enforce safety protocols and regulations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
  • Capable of working in various environmental conditions, including exposure to heights, noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
  • Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, and other structures as needed for project inspections and installations.
  • Must have sufficient manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling electrical tools and equipment safely.
