The Daily Caller News Foundation is seeking applicants for a full-time, salaried Reporting Fellowship at one of the most-read, conservative news organizations in the country. The ideal candidate will be a strong writer with keen research skills, a knowledge and interest in political journalism, and the ability to effectively communicate complex policy ideas. The candidate must also have excellent news judgment, with an eye for what stories will draw public interest.
The Daily Caller News Foundation Fellowship Program is a two-year, full-time program where reporters will learn the skills necessary to succeed in journalism through hands-on writing, interviewing prominent thinkers and leaders, researching, and attending daily editorial meetings and newsworthy events in the nation’s capital.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in government, politics, economics or related field
- Strong understanding of AP Style
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
- Eager to write and effectively communicate complex policies
- Have an eye for newsworthy stories
- Able to work in-office, Monday - Friday
- Write stories for complex policy ideas and political news
- Interview political leaders and prominent officials
- Create compelling and engaging content that connects audiences to our organization
- Attend daily editorial meetings and events
