What are the responsibilities and job description for the SHIFT LEADER position at Dairy Queen?
Duties:
- Oversee and coordinate daily shift operations
- Ensure efficient and smooth operation of the food production, bartending, banquet, catering, coffee, and hotel services
- Supervise and train staff members to provide excellent customer service
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
- Assist with scheduling and managing employee shifts
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies for improving overall performance
Requirements:
- Previous experience in food production, bartending, banquet, catering, coffee, hotel, or related field
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Assistant manager experience is a plus
