Dakota Floors, a long established, family-owned and trusted flooring store, is seeking a motivated, self-starter to join our team. Our beautiful showroom features custom hardwood, fine carpet, as well as vinyl, and tile. As we continue to grow, we are seeking professional sales associates who are looking for a promising career. Immediate hire for qualified sales professionals.

Essential functions:

  • Assist clients in the showroom and over the phone.
  • Prepare bids and job proposals accurately.
  • Schedule appointments.
  • Meet with clients in their homes for consultations as requested.
  • Maintain strong client and vendor relationships.
  • Maintain an understanding of all product lines carried.
  • Assist with communication between clients and estimators/project managers.
  • Assist in maintaining store appearance and merchandising.
  • Market to potential new clients and continue to build and develop key relationships.
  • Provide top quality customer service.

A successful candidate will be able to perform the following:

  • Prior experience with, or a working knowledge of flooring, construction or project management.
  • Thoroughly enjoy working with people.
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
  • Enthusiasm, attention to detail and flexibility are important and required.
  • Excellent follow through, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Customer service oriented with a positive attitude.
  • Possess a sense of humor, love being part of a small company, and always be a team player.
  • Highly organized with good problem solving skills.
  • Computer savvy with knowledge of Microsoft Office. Flooring specific software and an understanding of social networking is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
