    Human Resources Specialist - (Anticipated Opening)

    The Dallastown Area School District has an anticipated opening for a Human Resources Specialist.

    Position Purpose
    Under the direct supervision of the Director of Employee Relations and Administrative Services, this position will assist in the development and administration of a comprehensive human resources plan in accordance with applicable law, Board policy, and best practices.

    Essential Functions:
    • Coordination of the employment process to include recruiting, selection, interviewing, managing new employee onboarding process,
    • Ensures accurate employee documentation is completed and forwarded to appropriate personnel.
    • Provide direct oversight of the substitute management process,
    • Administration and tracking of Family Medical Leave Act throughout the district,
    • Ensuring completion of annual staff evaluations,
    • Provide counsel and coaching to employees on a wide range of personnel matters,
    • Assists Director of Employee Relations and Administrative Services with HR administration work and special projects, including compilation of data, data analysis and report preparation/generation,
    Qualification Profile
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related experience required.
    • 3-5 years of human resources experience (preferably in an educational setting)
    • Experience with Human Resources administration strongly preferred.
    • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and possess a strong technology aptitude.
    • Excellent communication skills, customer service skills and organizational skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with others.
    • Acceptable record of attendance.
    Additional Duties
    Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective school district operations.
