Human Resources Specialist - (Anticipated Opening)
The Dallastown Area School District has an anticipated opening for a Human Resources Specialist.
Position Purpose
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Employee Relations and Administrative Services, this position will assist in the development and administration of a comprehensive human resources plan in accordance with applicable law, Board policy, and best practices.
Essential Functions:
Coordination of the employment process to include recruiting, selection, interviewing, managing new employee onboarding process,
Ensures accurate employee documentation is completed and forwarded to appropriate personnel.
Provide direct oversight of the substitute management process,
Administration and tracking of Family Medical Leave Act throughout the district,
Ensuring completion of annual staff evaluations,
Provide counsel and coaching to employees on a wide range of personnel matters,
Assists Director of Employee Relations and Administrative Services with HR administration work and special projects, including compilation of data, data analysis and report preparation/generation,
Qualification Profile
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related experience required.
3-5 years of human resources experience (preferably in an educational setting)
Experience with Human Resources administration strongly preferred.
Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and possess a strong technology aptitude.
Excellent communication skills, customer service skills and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with others.
Acceptable record of attendance.
