What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical customer position at Dana?
Job Purpose
- Provide technical and commercial assistance and application specific information to our customers and internal customer service personnel in order to promote Dana product. :
- Answer customer and internal customer service product technical inquiries using engineering / production data.
- Assist in determining how product is to be serviced with assistance from technical service or engineering depts
- Provide internal departments with corrections to current publications where identified
- Assist customers / Crossville in part dimensional information from prints
- Provide support on quotes for service units, (transmissions, axles, electronic controllers
- Prepare recommended inventory lists for new products / customer applications
- Provide support / participate in product launch / product phase out / complexity reduction teams
- Propose service parts overhaul kits for specific components / units
- Help promote the sale of these products to our customers
- Provide application specific information
- Provide solutions / solve problems
- Help promote the sale of Dana product
- Create solid customer relations and provide excellent customer satisfaction
- Be a problem solver and information source for the customer, with solutions and data
- Performs all other duties as assigned

Associates Degree in Engineering or related area experience
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Experience and product knowledge of Dana parts
- Technical aptitude / interest
- Customer focused
- Self-starter, able to accept responsibility and prioritize work load
- Computer knowledge required
- Ability to work as a team member
- Ability to read engineering prints
