The Accountant I for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for ensuring accurate accounting of our royalty obligations and receipts as a licensee and licensor of multiple intellectual property royalty agreements.
This position is part of the Finance & Accounting department and will be located in Brea, CA. Our goal is closing the books and reporting our financial results in a timely and accurate fashion.
You will be a part of the Corporate Accounting & Reporting team and report to the Manager of Accounting responsible for royalty accounting as well as other general accounting responsibilities. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Administration of lease database and accounting process to ensure compliance with ASC842
Prepare various journal entries in accordance with US GAAP
Prepare account reconciliations
Prepare tax package supporting documents
Maintaining unclaimed property reporting (in collaboration with 3rd party consultant)
Administration of Blackline system to ensure compliance with SOX
Preparation of quarterly reports to parent company (Danaher), tie out of month end reports
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting with 2 years experience OR Master's degree in field with 0 years experience
General accounting experience
Working experience with accounting ERP systems, MS Excel and MS Word
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Blackline System
Lease Accounting
General Ledger accounting

The salary range for this role is $64,000 - $70,000K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
