Lab Scientist, Spatial Biology
Come join the spatial biology team at Leica Microsystems. We are a rapidly growing group in an exciting scientific space, and we come to work every day knowing we can make a difference in human health.
In your role as Lab Scientist, you will carry out projects based on multiplexed imaging, including tissue/cell prep, imaging and analysis. Be prepared to use your creativity and problem-solving skills to help the team develop new solutions. Ensures laboratory environment and practices comply with guidelines set forth by company and regulatory agencies.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate on research and development of technologies for multiplexed tissue imaging.
- Build strong collaboration networks and cultivate KOLs, establish partnerships, and continue to establish Leica’s presence in the research community.
- Support the objective analysis of potential market opportunities.
- Assist in compiling necessary documents for progress reports, presentations, and manuscripts.
- Expertise in overseeing and implementing laboratory safety programs/policies.
YOUR PROFILE
- BS is the minimum educational requirement (preferably in the biological sciences). MS in biological sciences is strongly preferred.
- Expertise in tissue staining, imaging, and image analysis is required. Work in the spatial biology of cancer is preferred.
- Knowledge of methods design and experiment execution.
- Experience with antibody conjugation, and maintaining/ordering general lab supplies, consumables and equipment.
- Ability to analyze experimental data, interpret results and use logic to troubleshoot problems.
