Job Description
We are looking for a Portfolio Manager to join our Hydrostatics Portfolio & Product Marketing team. The primary responsibility is to own the divisional go-to-market strategy for the Electrification of hydrostatic products in Off-Highway machinery. There exists opportunity to additionally have product line responsibilities in lieu of aforementioned primary responsibility. As Portfolio Manager, you will collect market needs and provide portfolio strategic direction and roadmap on emerging technologies to ensure short and long-term profitable growth. In addition, you will lead the divisional technology and business case development process.
In this case, we talk about 3 specific locations. Neumunster (or Hamburg), Germany, Ames, Iowa and Eden Prairie, Minnesota. We may be willing to accommodate a home office if you are not located close to any of those mentioned locations. However, in any case, we do request you to travel to the office as required.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Identify and secure business opportunities and relationships with existing or prospective customers to materially grow the technology ideation funnel
- Develop a leading market position in electrification in Off-Highway segments and applications
- Seek, build and maintain customer front end relationships in order to deliver a sustainable pipeline of new projects and opportunities
- Lead the technology planning process in collaboration with broader Portfolio Team (including but not limited to Business Unit Sales, New Product Development teams and other Portfolio Managers)
- Lead the business case development of new technology or solution launches
- Actively contribute to the creation of technology line roadmaps
- This role requires ~10% of travel (globally)

Required (basic) qualifications
- Bachelor or higher degree in Engineering, Physics, Economics, Business or another relevant technical discipline
- Fluent in English language skills (oral and written)
- Minimum of 5 years experience with Hydraulics or in an adjacent market/industry
- Including experience with Electrification, low or high voltage systems or automotive market
- Have a deep segment insight to Off-Highway machinery or applications experience
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with electronics and software is a bonus
- Poses a “go-do” attitude with strong competence in business strategy and development
- You can collaborate and inspire cross divisional and functional teams, story-tell and present to a broad range of audiences, technical and commercial
- Experience with Danfoss Product Development Process (PDP), SAP, AIIMID, Salesforce
