Job Summary:
We are looking for a paralegal to assist with a large dispossessory caseload in Magistrate Court. The ideal candidate is organized, diligent, and can work both independently and as part of a team.
Objectives:
- Track deadlines to ensure legal documents are filed in a timely manner
- Represent the organization with professionalism and integrity when dealing with clients and court officials
- Maintain strict confidentiality of organizational and client information
Responsibilities:
- Review and draft routine legal documents
- Create and maintain case files
- Prepare files for hearings
- Communicate with clients and court officials in person, over the phone, and via email
- Perform administrative duties, such as maintaining calendars, scheduling appointments, making photocopies, and compiling documentation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as a legal secretary, assistant, or paralegal
- Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certificate
- Exposure with electronic filings through PeachCourt, Odyssey, and reSearchGA
- Notary Public
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
