Position Purpose
To serve as the initial point of contact for the Dartmouth College Office of Human Resources. Performs a range of activities in support of the College’s employment function with a focus on customer service, electronic/administrative support, and the overall efficiency of the department.

- Greets visitors to the office, provides phone support, and routes or responds to email inquiries as appropriate.
- Provides relevant and accurate information in response to inquiries or promptly connects customers to appropriate resources.
- Completes I-9s and E-Verify process for new employees.
- Maintains welcoming appearance of common/shared areas.
- Updates materials displayed in the front office and kitchen, and ensures office machines are ready for use.
- Maintains HR file room, ensuring compliance with record management standards.
- Receives and distributes incoming mail and maintains mailing supplies.
- Assists job seekers with completing employment applications and general application questions.
- Assists with training room set-up and clean-up for HR hosted events and programs.
- Manages the HR meeting spaces, including posting the daily schedule.
- Assists other HR team members as requested.
Program and Project Support
- Coordinates and supports employee programs and events, including scheduling, logistical planning, participant registration, and record-keeping. Collaborates with other offices as needed.
- Assists with maintenance of online program registration systems.
- Coordinates employment activities related to job postings, ad placement, and background checks.
- Provides project support to HR colleagues as needed.
- Prepares and posts jobs for recruitment in the PeopleAdmin (DORR) system.
- Coordinates updates or changes to job posting as requested by hiring department.
- Coordinates placement of employment advertisements as requested.
Information Management
- Researches and maintains accurate employment data in HR systems and generates reports.
- Assists with HR system updates and maintenance.
- Create and maintains employee personnel files.
