Job Duties and Responsibilities

Maintenance Technician will be part of the team responsible for the overall maintenance of the 250 single family homes and apartments and all areas related to the day‐to‐day maintenance operations of our properties. Our properties are located in Burlington, Gloucester, and Camden Counties. Own transportation preferred but we will consider leasing a vehicle.

Essential duties include but are not limited to:

• Need to be able to complete basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, flooring and painting repairs
• Can work independently and efficiently without oversight and direction
• Need to have valid driver's license and feel comfortable driving Ford Transit Van
• Repairing and treating structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls and building exteriors
• Make ready units for new move‐ins
• Responsible for 24 hour emergency maintenance (happens very rarely, 4-5 times a year)
• Schedule and complete preventative maintenance program
• Complete grounds work such as: grounds pick up, sweeping and light landscaping
• Coordinate special projects as directed

Preferred Skills include:

• Have a working knowledge of HVAC systems and be able to maintain and repair and replace HVAC systems
• More advanced ability to install and repair plumbing and electrical
• Experience repairing kitchen appliances
• Experience installing windows, siding, soffit, fascia
• Technology skills including use of a computer and smart phone huge plus
• Basic Tools needed for maintenance

Job Requirements

Maintenance Technician must maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors, contractors and fellow employees. Maintenance Supervisor must have the necessary tools to effectively complete tasks outlined above. One must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions and be able to maintain effective and cooperative working relationships. Required Valid Driver’s License.

Salary

Salary range of $30 per hour. We are looking for someone who is experienced in property maintenance and construction. The expectation is a 40 hour week, which would generally be Monday to Friday, but may include some weekend days for showings or emergency repairs if needed. Hours can be flexible depending on the urgency of work required in a given week. Health insurance, vacation, etc are negotiable depending on salary.

About us

We are a small but quickly growing family owned and operated company which owns approximately 250 rental units across small apartment buildings and SF Homes in Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester Counties. We are also developing new rental units. Our new hire will be responsible for most repairs in the rental portfolio, but also assisting as needed with oversight of construction projects, as well as with apartments that need renovation upon turnover.

Pay: $30.00 per hour
