Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Category Manager, this role will involve all aspects of Category Management from distribution to retail. Primary assignments include providing a strategic vision for the assigned category(s), drive revenue and profitability, managing inventory levels, innovate and introduce new products, and manage the product lifecycle.

Education and Experience
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and creative critical thinking skills.
- Ability to interact with Marketing, Sales Managers, eCommerce, and key Customer partners.
- Lead multiple projects and people simultaneously.
- Strong, presentation, and influencing skills.
- Proficient in Excel & PowerPoint. ERP system knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and/or substantial prior experience in Purchasing/Product management.
- Must be able to travel occasionally.
Primary Job Duties
- Shared category P&L responsibility.
- Program management to improve terms, discounts, and overall category profitability.
- Promotional planning and analysis to improve vendor participation and profitability.
- Partner with Category Manager(s) to ensure merchandise mix to continually improve assortments through regular comp shopping.
- New product development and selection of proper product mix.
- Close cooperation, training with all sales teams to develop profitable and efficient programs.
- Responsible for anticipating potential problems and risks; generates ideas, insights, and solutions to resolve or "head off" potential problems.
- Work with Category Planner(s) to effectively manage product life cycle from inception to end of life.
- Coordinate packaging design requirements between vendors and Marketing.
- Responsible for purchase order management and oversight. This may include: writing orders, P.O. changes, cancellations and necessary follow-up (both internally and externally) to ensure key shipments are delivered and processed.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Salary : $53,800 - $68,200
