What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sous Chef position at DASH Hospitality?
DASH Hospitality owns and operates Barn:booze and bites, Morty's Meat and Provisions, Message in a Bottle, and soon, Yoffi.
Your will be working in all of our restaurants. We always have a lot of "moving parts" so your work week will be diverse. You will use all of your culinary talents in our outlets. Whether you are smoking meats or curing pastrami, frying falafel, or butter basting a fish filet, you will have the opportunity to touch a variety of cuisines and cooking techniques.
You will be expected to lead teams with daily execution of a la carte business, catered events, menu development and testing, and more. You will be responsible for maintaining industry standard labor costs and food costs. You will participate in ordering, scheduling, logistics, and training of staff.
You will be scheduled 45-50 hours per week. Schedule will include nights and weekends. You must be able to stand for long periods of time and not be intimidated by excellent cooks and co-workers around you. You should be able to lift 50 lbs from the floor to table height. We do not have late night hours.
