What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Manager position at Dasher Lights?
The main responsibility of this position is to assist the Operations Manager in executing the day-to-day operations in the Seattle Market.
Roofing/Construction Experience is a plus.
· Overseeing Operations: The Field Manager is intricately involved in day-to-day operations of the company. They need to make sure materials are where they need to be so that jobs aren’t slowed down. Scheduling workers, assigning tasks to crew members, ensuring warehouse and employment practices are compliant with governmental regulations (i.e., OSHA), and dealing with various problems that may arise (sometimes at the same time.) There will be times when the Field Manager will perform holiday lighting installation. You will be properly trained in all of this.
· Logistics: Making sure crews are where they need to be is a key responsibility of the Field Manager. Monitoring various aspects of each job from start to finish to ensure each job is completed and up to Dasher Lights’ standards. Communicating regularly with crew members, vendors, property managers, and various other contacts related to the jobs are necessary.
· Hiring: Recruiting duties are par for the course of the Field Manager. They will serve as the first interviewer when candidates are screened for job vacancies and then send the most promising applicants on for further interviews with upper management. When new hires start, the Field Manager may need to help them get up to speed, including necessary paperwork and training.
· Assisting the Operations Manager: Other tasks the Field Manager may be called upon to do include client meetings with Upper Management informing staff of policy changes, leading teams in the absence of Upper Management, and making recommendations regarding issues such as resource allocation.
