The Business Manager is responsible for all transactional activity related to accounting/billing and human resources-related functions and offers administrative assistance in various other operational activities.
Job Responsibilities:
· Financial Management:
o Handling accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions.
o Conducting month-end closing processes in QuickBooks
o Executing weekly check runs and deposits.
o Monthly bank reconciliations
o Financial reporting for the management team.
· Office Operations:
o Organizing office operations and procedures.
o Managing correspondence and filing systems.
o Assigning and monitoring clerical functions.
o Planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement.
o Reviewing specialized reports, identifying trends, and keeping management informed.
· HR and Payroll:
o Entering and managing payroll processes through Paychex software.
o Updating and monitoring PTO schedules.
o Maintaining employee records and scheduling training programs.
o Coaching, counseling, and mentoring employees.
o Planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
· Team Collaboration
o Foster a collaborative environment by interacting and working with team members.
Qualifications:
· Education and Experience:
o Associate or bachelor’s degree in HR or Accounting preferred but not required.
o 3 years of experience in an office manager setting, preferably with HVAC or trades experience.
o 3 years’ experience in managing accounting and HR-related functions.
· Skills:
o Proficiency in MS Office suite.
o Experience with QuickBooks and Paychex payroll preferred.

· This salaried position offers an 8-5 work schedule with some flexibility. Hours may vary depending on seasonal business volume.
