SUMMARY: Under general supervision the Project Engineer performs a variety of entry level engineering activities including preparing, updating and maintaining technical information and developing support tools for Project Management.
Annual Salary: $63,000- $75,000
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Management
Assist Project Managers with Duties subject to but not limited to the following:

- Submittal Submission and Tracking
- Pay Applications
- Purchase Requisitions/Subcontract Procurement
- Subcontractor Outreach
- Meeting Attendance/Note Taking/Meeting Minutes
- Work Plans/Safety Plans
- Daily RMS (USACE) or ECMS (NAVFAC) Support
- RFI Submission and Tracking
- Certified Payrolls collection and consolidation
- Assist with Project Financial Management/EAC Files
- Assist with PMRT (Project) Write Ups and Management
- Some travel may be necessary to perform these duties
- Project Scheduling Monthly Updates
- Assist in Project Budget creation and management with Project Manager
- Other duties as assigned by the Project Manager
Project Estimating
Assist Proposal Development Team with Duties subject to but not limited to the following:

- Site Visit attendance which may require travel
- Project Write Ups/Technical Writing
- Subcontractor Outreach
- Quantity Take-off/Survey
- Assistance Pre-Construction Team with Smart Bid
General
- Assumed work hours to be M-F 8:00 to 4:00 with additional work hours as needed if required by current workload conditions and/or duties assigned.
- Active Participation in Project Management Training classes and seminars as assigned.
- Timely completion of Dawson mandated Training as assigned.
- Daily Timesheet submission
- Practice the spirit of Aloha, Ohana, and Kuleana with colleagues, clients, and those around them.
*Travel will be required approximately 10% of the time to visit project sites and/or attend client meetings*
This position will be located in the San Antonio, TX DAWSON office.
* QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's Degree (BA) in Engineering or Construction Management Related Field is required. Degree Candidate for December 2023 will also be considered.
* Computer skills required:
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Familiarity with Scheduling Programs (Microsoft Project, Primavera P6)
EXPERIENCE
1-5 years of years of related experience is preferred, however: newly graduated applicants are welcomed
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Good troubleshooting skills.
