Music Educator Therapist

Our Position:We are currently seeking a Music Educator Therapist to advocate and work towards assisting the people we support, through person centered planning, by facilitating plans, goals, and positive supports necessary to assist the person in progression towards the person’s desired outcomes.This position involves:      Provides weekly music experiences to students within the program with emphasis on music appreciation/enjoyment in conjunction with specific Individualized Education Plan (IEP) objectivesü  Communicates with parents, as appropriate, regarding the music program and progress of respective childrenü  Consults with other members of each student’s educational team, including school program staff, parents and/or agency personnel, in order to best ensure a comprehensive coordinated approach to meeting each student’s needs ü  Attends and participates in conferences, treatment team meetings, and other meetings as needed.
