Who We Are:
The Springfield City School District, home to The John Legend Theatre, is seeking a Adminstrative Secretary II at Springfield High School for the 2022-2023 school year. We are a nationally ranked Division I District serving approximately 7,500 Pre-K through grade 12 students, in a vibrant learning community of 17 state of the art buildings in west-central Ohio. As a Adminstrative Secretary II you are required to:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred: Associates' Degree)
- Five or more years of office experience
- Knowledge at a high level of computer usage
- Experience with daily use of word processing, spreadsheets and databases
- Proficient in spelling, grammar, and proofreading skills
- Effective communication techniques and procedures to communicate effectively in oral and written form
- Knowledge of budget record keeping a plus
As a Administrative Secretary II you will:
- Composes and/or types corresondence, memos, and other documents with accuracy
- Prepares reports by gathering, compiling and summarizing information
- Provides the confidetiality of priviledged information
- Provides timely feedback and keeps supervisor informaed about pertinent issues
- Answers departmental telephone calls, handles inquiries, takes messages and/or redirects calls
- Schedules appointments and meetings as directed and as necessary to maintain departmental efficiency
- Organizes and maintains departmental supplies, records, and filing system
- Reports unauthorized persons or suspicious circumstances immediately
- Performs other duties as assigned
What We Offer:
As a contracted employee, this position works 8 hours per day, 234 days per year.
Starting salary is $36,738.00 with increases for additional education and experience.
